Our Mission

The mission of Hope Springs Church is to foster an environment that builds believers who, in turn, will build other believers, as Jesus gave instructions to His disciples; “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

What We Believe

I. That the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God.

II. In one God eternally existing in three persons; namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

III. That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. That He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.

IV. That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is a command of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins.

V. That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

VI. In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word, and by the Holy Ghost.

VII. Holiness to be God’s standard of living for His people.

VIII. In the baptism with the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart.

IX. In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

X. In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

XI. Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.

XII. In the Lord’s Supper and washing of the saints’ feet.

XIII. In the premillennial second coming of Jesus. First, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on the earth a thousand years.

XIV. In the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.

XV. In the Biblical institution and covenant of marriage between one man and one woman.

Meet The Pastor

Spencer and Becky Williams are excited to be leading Hope Springs Church. They are life-long members of the Semmes community, and they are honored to minister to the people of their hometown. Spencer was called to ministry at the age of 23 and, since that time, it has been his passion to serve others and Christ in whatever capacity God puts before him. He looks forward to what God has in store for Hope Springs and in the lives of those he is so blessed to lead.
